Okurcalar sits at the far western end of the Alanya coast, past Avsallar and İncekum, where the big all-inclusive resorts line up behind the beach and the hills start almost immediately behind them. It is one of the furthest zones we collect from, and one of the easiest: the hotels are clustered tightly enough that a transfer picks up several in one run.
We have 30 Okurcalar hotels on file, the largest set of any zone on this coast — Alara Kum, Botanik Hotel & Resort, Arycanda Kirman Premium and the rest of the resort strip among them. If yours is not on our list you simply type it into the booking form and we confirm it with you.
How pickup from Okurcalar works
Okurcalar is a pickup zone, not the departure point. Our transfer collects you from your hotel here and drives inland to the safari base, away from the coast road — that is where the vehicles, the briefing and the test drive are. We would rather you know that in advance than be surprised by a drive you did not expect.

This is the one thing worth reading twice. Your session begins at 08:00 or 13:00. Your hotel pick-up happens earlier than that, and the exact minute depends on where your hotel sits on the transfer route and how the day is scheduled. We confirm your pick-up time to you after you book, rather than printing a time here that would be wrong for most hotels.

Can I drive?
16 and over
Drivers must be 16 or older. Bring ID — it is checked as proof of age, not as a licence.
No driving licence needed
This safari runs on a private off-road course, not on public roads, so a driving licence is not required to take part. What we do require is the briefing and the test drive.
Everyone does the test drive
Every guest who wants to drive completes the safety briefing and a short test drive first. It is a genuine check, not a formality.
The team has the final say
Our guides decide whether a driver is safe and suitable to take the route. If the answer is no on the day, nobody's holiday is over: you ride exactly the same route as a passenger, at half the driver price.
