The five kinds of ground
That is the whole list, and it is deliberately the whole list. Off-road routes get described in brochures with waterfalls and viewpoints and villages that are not actually on them, so here is only what is.
The mix changes with the day and the season. Dust is the constant; mud and water crossings are not promised in either direction.
- Mountain terrain
- Forest tracks
- Off-road trails
- Natural river-bed ground
- Rugged, open landscape
Where it is
In the hills behind Alanya, inland from the coast strip. The mountains you can see from almost any hotel balcony on this coast are the western Taurus, and that is the country the route runs in.
It is not on the coast road and it is not in a town. That is why the transfer exists, and why your pickup happens before your session starts rather than at it.
What we do not tell you about the route
How far it is, and how long the drive to it takes. Neither has been measured, and a number invented for a web page is a number a guest plans their morning around.
Nor do we promise a specific stop, a viewpoint or a photo break. If one happens on your day, good; it is not something you booked and it is not something we will sell you in advance.
How the route is ridden
As a guided group, at a pace the group can hold. You follow the guide, keep your own line and do not treat it as a race. That is most of the skill, and it is what the briefing covers.
You are not handed a map and sent off. That is a large part of why an off-road day works for guests who have never done one — the route knowledge is the guide's job, and yours is the machine in front of you.
