How the pricing works for a family
There are two rates and one rule. A driver pays the driver price for their vehicle. Anyone riding along with a driver pays exactly half of that. That is the whole calculation, and the booking form does the adding for you before you send anything.
It means a family of four does not need four vehicles. Two adults driving with two people riding along is a common shape, and so is one adult driving with one passenger while another adult takes their own machine.
Who can drive
Sixteen and over, with ID as proof of age — not as a licence. A sixteen-year-old goes through exactly the same process as everyone else: the briefings, the instruction, then the test drive, and the guides decide from that whether they take the route as a driver.
If a teenager is not ready on the day, or would rather not, they ride the same route as a passenger. Nothing about the family's day changes.
Younger children — the honest answer
We have not published a minimum age for passengers and we are not going to invent one on a web page. What works for a small child on an off-road route depends on the child, and it deserves a conversation rather than a number.
So message us on WhatsApp before you book. Tell us their ages and who would be driving, and we will tell you plainly what we can arrange — including when the answer is that this is not the right day out for them. That is a better outcome than finding out at the base.
Which vehicle suits a family
Most families end up in buggies, because a driver and a passenger travel together rather than in convoy, and because a parent can be beside a nervous first-timer instead of behind them.
Quads work too, and the same half-price passenger rule applies. If a group wants a mix — some quads, a buggy — that is fine; you book them in the same reservation.
Booking as a group
Put the whole party into one booking: how many drivers, how many passengers. That is what tells us how many vehicles to prepare and what the total is.
If your group is larger or has an unusual shape, message us before booking rather than splitting it across several reservations — one conversation is faster than three forms.
